We are pleased that an investigation has been opened by the prosecutor of Paris, and we hope that Gerald Marie’s victims finally get justice.

If you have information relevant to this case and/or are a model in need of assistance or advice, please contact us at MA Support (email in bio).

Thank you @iamcarreotis @jill_dodd @ebbapkarlsson for your leadership. Read the full article @nytfashion via the link in our stories. #Time4Respect #AdultSurvivorsAct #GeraldMarie
Gérald Marie may face investigation in France after being accused of rape and sexual assault. In legal documents, two former models claim that they were raped by the longtime president of the European arm of Elite. Marie, who has represented many leading names in the business, is now the chairman of Paris modeling agency @ouimanagement.

The women say they are speaking out now because they want others to come forward and to protect young women in the industry. “We still have perpetrators in the industry,” said @iamcarreotis, who serves on the Model Alliance’s Leadership Council. “And it has to stop.”

If you have information on this case or are a model in need of discreet assistance, you can contact us at MA Support (email in profile). #Time4RESPECT #ModelAlliance #GeraldMarie #JeffreyEpstein #OuiManagement #Elite
Yesterday, the US House of Representatives overwhelmingly passed the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act. The bill is designed to end the use of Uyghur forced labor in corporate supply chains by banning all imports with content from the Uyghur Region — unless the brand importing the product can prove it was not made with forced labor. What does this have to do with fashion? Cotton is the main export from the Uyghur Region, making its way into one in five t-shirts, sneakers, and dresses from big brands like #Zara and #Nike. The bill now moves to the Senate and sends a clear message to brands: continuing to source from the Uyghur Region is no longer a viable option. Kudos to everyone at the #ModelAlliance who took a stand at #NYFW, in person and online, and to all allies fighting to end #ForcedLabourFashion!
On Monday, 9/21, join our founder and executive director @saraziff ‘11GS, leadership council member @novaesnat ‘22JRN, and legal intern @oliviaclairehunter ‘22LAW for a conversation about their transitions from modeling to advocacy, and how they are working to create meaningful change. This conversation will be moderated by @kikkahanazawa ‘00GS and is presented by @columbiageneralstudies at @columbia. Register via the link in our bio.
In solidarity with the #StopHateForProfit social media blackout, the Model Alliance has decided to postpone our video launch by 24 hours.
⠀
We are disturbed that @facebook ignores hate and disinformation on their platforms. It’s dangerous and undermines our democracy.

Thank you @marieclaireau, @instylemagazine and @nydailynews for covering our protest at #NYFW urging brands to stop profiting from #ForcedLabourFashion. As model and protester @thirth said at the rally, “As models we have a platform and a voice. It’s important for us to use it for people who don’t.” Check out the articles in our stories.
Thank you to everyone who joined us at yesterday’s powerful protest!

In front of Spring Studios, over 50 models and allies staged a demonstration on the first day of New York Fashion Week to highlight that the global fashion industry profits from Uyghur forced labour. Activist models participated in a mock fashion show wearing white cotton t-shirts saying #ForcedLabourFashion and #FreeUyghurs, and holding a red ribbon in solidarity with Uyghur prisoners.
